ÁLFUR – Our smalled is an 8k industrial washer. Álfur means elf, the small fairies that a part of Icelandic folklore.  

 

GEBO  – our 11 kg Industrial washer is one of the Viking runes Gebo which means gifts. It symbolizes partnership and balance in giving and receiving, which is among the key values we stand for while setting up a laundromat in the town. 

 

HAMINGJA  – our 14kg industrial washer means in modern Icelandic happiness, and in old Norse it symbolizes luck and fortune. 

 

FREYJA – Our 18kg washer who in Norse mythology was a god of fertility and love. 

All our driers are 14kg. A double stack.

 

VALHALLA -14kg drier, a favorite to many, a misconception of heaven but in reality Valhalla is hall of the slain. A preparation place for final battle.  Valhalla is home to those who died in battle. 

 

THOR – 14kg drier. Famous god of thunder and storm and a son to Oðin. Symbolizing strength, courage and protector of family and community. 

 

OÐIN – 14kg drier. Known as the all father, he is in Norse mythology believed to be a symbol of war and wisdom. 

 

SAGA – 14kg drier. In Icelandic, saga means stories or tales. The stories surrounding different parts of the island, the people on the island and also the people in our community. A place where people can sit, talk and also learn while waiting for their laundry. And the stories shared with all visitors that come to wash in our laundromat.
